I'm new to the game. Why do your arc cannon does so much damage? Is it implant or weapon mod or sth?

Question: How did you get infinite chip and tokens?

@@oimoi5280 it's not exactly infinite. We have save files that have 100's of thousands of tokens so that players dont have to constantly grind between runs just to waste currency, etc. The save files should be available in the speedrun discord.

Is it not worth picking up the hidden implants that appear in the hallways sometimes?? I thought I heard one or 2 during the run, unless I was mistaken.

Not really. It may technically be useful to route around getting a specific implant, but then you'd need to setup backup saves from before getting the passives so you can try again after every run, and while we do allow that it's a lot of work for a small benefit. For this save file I have only 3 unlocked because you need 3 to get Implant Upgrading unlocked, but I'd only unlock Smart Round Booster if I could to make it more likely to find it in rewards.

Technically if Smart Round Booster could be found in Tora id leave it locked so I could find it for free, but it only appears in Watts. Which actually still may be worth it all things considered...

How do you get unlimited Turing Tokens?

We used modified save files that have 1 billion of the currencies. These save files are available on the Speedrun discord. Makes it so people don't need to grind for tokens, make backups their save file, etc etc.

Why don't people just not use turing tokens/currency? Wouldn't that make for a way more interesting run? Are people just plain unable to beat Neuromancy with Hunter without unlimited goodies?

People do do that casually, and it's not that hard to beat Neuromancy in such a way. The point of a Speedrun however is to beat the game as fast as possible, and theoretically a person could grind for 1000ish tokens before attempting a run. In an effort to cut down on the amount of grinding needed between runs, we have save files with "1 billion" currency. Funnily enough, since time is measured using Real Time rather than In Game Time, spending a lot of time at vendors does come with a detriment to speedrunning, so the best speedruns would most likely not even use that many vendors/tokens anyways. As far as what you find interesting, you or others could start doing "no vendor speedruns", but the route/run would not be all that much different, just a bit slower. But nothing's stopping people from doing runs like that.

@@BloodShot9001Yeah, but isn't a no-currency run more interesting to watch than an infinite currency run? I'm suggesting you should cheat so that you set your TT and $ to zero at the beginning of a run instead of to infinite. I understand the point of a speed run is to do it as fast as possible, but people also do speed runs with different settings, like Any%, right? So if different settings exist, then what's the point of even doing this on neuromancy? If you truly wanted it to be as fast as possible, then you'd choose the easiest setting, but you didn't because you want it to be challenging, right? Infinite currency runs have less depth and skill required than "start at 0 currency" runs.

@@godrifle if you look at my other videos and the speedrun.com leaderboards, there are runs for low difficulty as well. As far as adding more depth, I don't think most runners would agree or they'd all be going for 0 currency runs as well. It would add more RNG mostly, and while that's not necessarily a bad thing it also won't change the runs that much (you'd still see the same exact implants being used, they'd just be leveled up later).
