The worst part is that those strength/agility stackers then come to the conclusion that Enhancement sucks, reroll, and go around telling people not to try Enhancement.

@@Rev-Up The only foes in 1v1 that are dishearteningly hard are warlocks and hunters, but only if they're well-geared, skilled, and specced right. Enhancement either dominates, or at least is a threat, to everyone else. Good stats are: stamina; intellect; spell power; strength; agility; +hit (if you're Enhancement-Elemental).

@@Rev-Up You don't close the gap against mages, you shock them to death. It's the threat of windfury keeping them running, unable to cast many spells, not the windfury itself that beats them. And yeah, this was high-end gear. You will go oom pretty quickly. I like having around 5000 mana.

I was preaching this to my fellow shams since i started the game! Played enhance, had fun, then i realized at around level 50 that str/agil stack is the worst, most RNG way to play enhance. Get a shield and 1 hander, stack stam/int/crit and be almost unkillable. Especially rogues would pull their hair out trying to kill me lol

One of the best pvp comps for enhance ive seen! My only complaint is that you rarely use Grounding totem, especially against hunters. Otherwise flawless, i love it!

I used grounding totem against all hunters in this video. Even in the first fight where my timing was off I still did catch a freezing trap around 0:06.

That's flattering to hear, but I don't think I was exceptionally skilled. My aim with grenades was bad, I was easily fooled by fake casts, and I had other flaws exceptional players didn't. I took more pride in my knowledge of the spec than my skill playing it.

Yeah, windfury is best seen as a bonus, not a necessity. That's one bit of wisdom I tried to share with other Enhancement Shamans, but few took it.

Was this server before pet normalization? I don't remember what patch that happened in. Side comment, it is fun to watch vanilla toons that aren't bad. The non private server vanilla vids have so many keyboard turning clickers....

Really wanna try enhan shaman for vanilla wow pvp since its such a rare spec to see. But the gear you need looks like it will take 10.000 years to get unless you in a gdkp or something :( or have endless time to grind rank 14. Not a thing for a casual that only have 2 hours pr day.. how is enhan shaman over all when you and everyone else is in lower gear, like mc/onyx at max bwl gear? Like will they ever be as good as mages/rogues and those S tier pvp classes in vanilla? Ps. Best shaman I've ever seen! 😊😊 Btw in classic 1.14 ( vanilla wow from blizz ) the lvl 40 ele talent does so you get 100% chance to crit with 2 spells in a row so CL+shock. With that in mind wouldnt it over all be better to go ele with ele gear and carry a 2h around for when vs spell casters instead of the exact same you do with juat enhan spec instead ? Or what you think of that ?

I don't know where Enhancement sits on a PvP tier list if we stick to MC era gear. Mages and Warlocks seem generally more powerful than Enhancement Shamans, although Enhancement Shaman isn't bad against Mages. Elemental Shaman is probably more well-rounded than Enhancement. Whether or not you pick Elemental should depend on what you feel like being!

Enhancement is terrible in PvE, but it's very powerful in PvP if done right.

Why you don't recommend using Flame Shock on mages?

Because they can put up a fire shield and block half its damage. But come to think of it, that could have some use. If you see a mage put up a frost shield and you plan to frost shock them, you can flame shock them, causing like 300-400 damage, then they put up flame shield to block the rest, then you can get a full frost shock off on them next time.

Good fights, not the typical high warlord killing loots of TR1 peopel who try to avoid PvP, but fights there the victims know how to fight PvP and have decent gear. I can identify most of the gear you have, but can you do a list, it is a nightfall you use?

I don't play anymore, but this is what I used to be: i.imgur.com/t5kJaL6.png You might want to take a point of out Improved Lightning Shield and put it into Flurry. I went with Lightning Shield because I was more spellpower based than most Enhancement Shamans, and I felt I'd squeeze more out of it than I would if it was in Flurry.

It's cool to know I've gotten someone interested in a class :O But yeah, Enhancement isn't flashy like a Rogue or Warlock, but it does have more depth than people give it credit for. It's also underestimated and misunderstood by almost everyone, including people playing the spec.

Yeah, I've played a *LOT* of Rogue and Warrior on classic, and they're fun, and Rogue has a moderately high skill cap (imo) to do well in PvP, especially bigger team fights. But I'm truly blown away by the amount of binds Shaman has, and how much you can do. The versatility is unprecedented. It's probably more useful than a Paladin or Druid too. Love the advice and the videos man.

I don't think it worked like that in patch 1.12. And no, that's not how shaman vs hunter goes, as long as the shaman isn't dumb. A smart shaman who is fighting a particularly slippery hunter will cure viper sting the moment it's on, take cover, kill the pet, and force the hunter to come back.
