Yeah, I wish I could, too. But there are no plans of bringing high speed internet to where I live and 4k videos would take literally days to upload.

Old lenses are so good even at f2.8. Really liked the images you got and the video. It's really how you use the lens and compose your shots and all looks great to me in this demonstration and not to forget the less distractions in it with minimized flare and ghosting. It should be good for scenes when we want more focus on the subject in a realistic environment, although the depth of field still gives it a dreamy look, so it's good enough for any kind of shoot in the 40mm range. Slightly wider than 50 gives more space and on full frame, it should be perfect. The minimum focus distance is the only part I don't like, if it's farther than 3 feet, if you can't get close enough at f2.8, but would be interesting, if this can somehow be changed on lens bellows maybe?

Hm, extension tubes and bellows will make it focus closer, but maybe even too much? I feel it would benefit from a wider aperture like the Konica 40 1.8 to isolate the subjects a bit more, but it is good if you want to show the environment without detracting from the subject

My favourite lenses are ASAHI PENTAX-M 35mm F2.8 and ASAHI PENTAX-M 50mm F1.4 (best colour and sharpness on my Sony 42 Mio. Pixel full frame sensor)

Great video. Love the Pentax-M series. Is there another Pentax series of lenses that are worth looking at? The Pentax K or the Pentax-A?

Thank you! I haven't tried any K series, but the A and F series are worth trying out and can be found for cheap, plus the F series is compatible with Pentax digital bodies that use the screw drive autofocus

@@MarcoAries I recommend photo shoot with your models somewhere in Carnia :) Tower in Paluzza, Timau and Passo Monte Croce. Or Cavazzo lake.

I shot part of the review of the Konica 40mm 1.8 on Lago di Cavazzo 😉 Plus this past summer I've shot a fantasy inspired project, FAE, in a couple different locations, but I'd like to add more locations next summer. You can check out that video as well, I've posted it only a few months ago.

An interesting lens. Just checked eBay and there is a "near mint" one for $159 USD. The lens is in Japan. I agree, the 50mm f1.7 is probably much better! Just my opinion here... that woman in the video looks ridiculous with those toy ears. They diminish her beauty. Just my opinion, it's not meant as an insult. 😇
