Wouldn’t getting to ignore chest that u see ruin the point of use what you find? I know rando enemy drops exist but it would still let you use an op weapon for longer than you should, especially if u get lucky on drop rates.

baselard isnt the best weaponat this point but dont sleep too much on daggers, they lack big damage but they attack so fast that higher tier daggers shreds through enemies hp, I remember getting the mandau pasir and oh boy I didnt regret it. And the skill of baselard is more useful that you would think as well so that's another cool thing about them

They are probably the best weapons in the game at the end. 378x12 damage really quickly is a good way to destroy the game.

I have to assume you don't upload runs that softlock or anything like that but Why can't i get any rando runs like this. It's always Aqua Stream into invert into fight that boss that gives double jump vanilla but seems to always have dimension shift for me in rando, into maybe find Zangetsuto at one of the last checks but more likely just a soft lock lol. This is why I don't compete because the only possible benefit you could get is Gebel Glasses

Most use the community rando instead of the inbuilt one. I think that has more varied logic, and things like same type shuffle lessens softlocks.

It's a movement tech called backdash cancelling.

Like most Castlevania (and derivative) games, backstepping is faster than just walking regularly.

@@Mimagito Really the only other CV game where just spamming backdash is faster is SoTN. Otherwise you usually need to do something to actually make it faster, like in aria or ecclesia, or there are just better movement options period like in dawn.
