One thing I bought just before coming to bloodstock was a small folding bucket ( it can hold roughly six 330 ml cans to give you an idea of size ) my friend and I were washing our hands in it using some shower gel after using the disgusting porta loos ,its something I'll definitely bring again as I agree about feeling grubby, especially your hands

Ruby mentioned Blackout tents. I bought a Quecha black & fresh from Decathlon. It's bloody fantastic, kept me nice and cool during a French summer. I went with an inflatable one as its quick and easy to put up, must have been 15min for one person to set up a 4 person tent. They have one with 2 pods each side with a living spave in the middle, I got one that has a single pod and a living space. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 kids, but even then, 2 adults would be fine. Mine is on sale at £300 but the 2 pod one is £450. That's for the inflatable one, pole verson is about £220

I second the decathlon fresh and black! Absolutely brilliant in 22. Poles are better for festivals, but I first met Billy at the pilot as my pump was fucked and we were sleeping in a limp tent and luckily his mate had one I could borrow 😂. Good video too Ruby. We always get hot wok noodles and lash it with sriracha. The Chinese place and loaded dogs give me the shits😢.

I had forgotten about that!!! Time flies mate! Thats absolutely crazy!!! The Pilot was such a great festival too! Remember the utter shock of seeing your mates without masks for the first time in ages and being able to hug them 🥰 I'll never forget that! 😊

That was pretty much day 1 of this shit! Ha It's so cringe looking back, but still kinda fun. I actually crowd surfed over Ruby which is weird! 😂 I think back then I was around 150-300 which is weird! Such a happy memory though!

Looks so much better than the shit fest that was Download! Ahh tents my specialist subject the Berghaus Air 600 Nightfall would fit your requirements, its blackout has two bedrooms one at either end and a living section in the middle. At £600 its an investment! Theres also a cheaper Beghaus option the Air 500 Nightfall which is a different design with the 2 blackout bedrooms behind the living space. Price is cheaper at £279. Another alternative would be the Vango Odyssey Air 500, it also has 2 blackout bedrooms but they're side by side and infront of them it has a large living area. Price is £470. They also do a pole version for £377.

The arena was smaller this year. Not as many stalls or food vendors, saying this because the fire lanes behind the stalls were huge. Still an ace festival.

@@Wreckhead I think the quality of Merchant stall is always better at Bloodstock than anywhere else. DL has always had tons of knock off crap in addition to the good stuff which makes shopping harder. The food options are always Very similar at all festivals pretty much, but the amount of them at Bloodstock is impressive. The only thing I did notice was on the campsite itself there was no Vegan options. I had no idea about fire lanes though!! There's so much to organising this shit rather than just booking bands huh!

@@billymayhem The Fire lane observation was made as I worked Bloodstock for a few years, camping behind the stalls. It was always quite cramped, narrow enough for some punters to throw cans of beer over the stalls into the arena (but that's another story).

You should try Rockstadt in Transylvania. They had an amazing selection of vegan and vegetarian food this year
