I’ve purchased several of their swimsuits and they have been very good. They have so many cute ones to choose from for plus size. Recently lost 40 lbs so I had to go shopping recently and they have the best choices in my opinion.

My favorite is the same as yours! On the shorts I think they would look awesome with a blouse a fluttering light weight blouse. Maybe eyelit blouse something cool and short so you can see your box pleats. I too like the Green jumpsuit without the belt. Pockets are for hands and anything you might have in your hands including a grandchild’s Cold little fingers.

Great haul! I really liked everything on you. The dresses were my favorite, and the citrus print was ❤❤. The black flowered shorts were nice...perhaps try it with a black top. I live in Florida and it is already brutally hot. I wear Columbia tops. They wick the moisture away. You may want to check them out for a black top. I am definitely checking out that jumpsuit!

I’m sorry about the lighting in this one, Nancy. My kitchen has the best light in my house in the early evenings (I always film after work) and some days I catch the sun at very bad angles. I will try to come up with a better solution. I got these items in right before my surgery last week and filmed it right away, then edited this week while recovering. There was just no way to refilm for at least another week or two.

Can we have an adult discussion about fast fashion? I thought bloom chic was considered fast fashion and bad for the environment and human rights. But is Walmart fast fashion? I know there is a lot of controversy around SHEIN. And I would love to be an amazing human but my wallet can’t Afford torrid and macys/norstorms. Especially because I am looking for a new job and everything is either back in office or hybrid so I need a wardrobe

I think there is a list on one of the government websites telling which companies have used poor employee practices, such as slave labour or pay that didn't compensate the workers enough to really live. I would rather shop thrift stores or clearance than do anything to add to the suffering of some of those workers. I do not know anything about Bloom Chic regarding this practice.

Almost all plus size brands are fast fashion. I would be more activist oriented if there were more options; not just inclusive brands, but availability too. There isn't a way to verify a supply chain isn't using questionable practices or supplies since it's a volunteer standard - at any price. The only exception is 100% made in USA like Eileen Fisher but your looking at much higher prices (quality is worth it IMO). It's an industry problem caused by places like Zara with a business model of 52+ fashion cycles/year (their entire inventory turns over in a week). The most sustainable way to buy clothing is second hand - no contest. No question about it. With 2nd hand, it's a problem for plus size due to the fact that most brands didn't make plus sizes and fast fashion brands don't last, so there's very limited stock available 2nd hand. It's frustrating.

I started out not wanting to bring any brands that were considered fast fashion onto my channel. I began with subscription boxes and the most common thing that I heard was that we needed to find things that were more affordable. Any inexpensive fashion, at some level, is going to have unethical practices in how it is made- that is not limited to only affordable clothing brands, either. I found brands that were sent to me through Stitch Fix and Wantable that were on some of these lists that were in the $100 range. All that to say, I agree, this is an extremely difficult thing to navigate. I have really thought a lot about this, and what my personal goal is for my channel, is to show what is out there in plus-sizes in a wide variety of price ranges. That way people can make educated decisions based on their budgets.

I liked everything. The surprise was the jumpsuit with the butterfly top...better with no belt. I liked the box pleat dress. The swim cover-up was adorable. I would put a black top with the shorts, untucked. Maybe a black cotton knit t-shirt with a lace embellished v neck.

The one I liked best for ME was the white dress but the grapefruit dress was stunning on you. I believe I need a green jumpsuit. I prefer shapeless. No binding.😅 All of them looked great on you. Polyester, viscose/rayon/tencel/several more (all actually viscose), cotton, whatever. It's not only what gives fabric it's main look and feel. It's not so much about the base material as it is about the quality of the spun fibre/thread, and what is done with it in regard to knit/weave. I'm sure we've all had that 100% cotton tee shirt that feels buttery smooth and super stretchy with great return or the 100% cotton one you wash and it becomes instantly very rough, crumpled, stiff, shrunken and beyond nasty on the skin. The smooth buttery one will be cotton interlock (AKA double knit) which will look the same on both sides if you look closely at the shape of the stitches of it's knit. It is thicker, smoother, stretchier, less likely to shrink, feels higher quality. The rough one will be single knit. Thinner, rougher, will shrink a minimum of 15 percent on first wash and will feel as rough as .... once the chemical coating that was used to make it feel smoother on the instore rack has washed off. If you look at both sides closely, the stitches look different. It feels poor quality. You can guess which one is cheaper to manufacture with. I sew and have many pieces of fabric made of lord knows what. Cheap, expensive, offcuts, doesn't matter because you can't trust a lot of fabric retailers to even put the composition in the description, let alone make sure it's accurate, so you can rarely tell what it's made of. You just have to feel it. I've had some disasters buying fabric online, I can tell you. I've had stuff called cotton that would be best used for potato sacks and polyester mixes that feel luxurious. I was sorting through old clothes to donate yesterday and most of it was from a quite expensive plus size retailer in my country. All pure polyester Made in China, so don't go thinking Shein/Temu/Bloomchic are necessarily any more guilty of using it than anyone else. You always run the risk of getting tent,sleeping bag feeling fabric when shopping. You can be fooled about feel even in the store but especially online. That's why try on videos are sometimes so useful.

No belt on the green jumpsuit. I don't think that a belt was intended to be used on this. I look forward for your videos. I lost over 80 pounds in a very short time. Went from a 24 to a 16 in my jeans and had to get a new wardrobe. I bought all my new clothes from Amazon. Underwear, night clothes, day wear, shoes, etc. I get compliments everywhere I go.

I think you might like the box pleated dress better if you put a frothy petticoat under it. It would give it better balance in comparison to your waistline. That jumpsuit... i think you might have sold me on that look. I've been avoiding them, but I was wowed by the flowy legs and color.

Everything was great! But the jumpsuit is perfect on you with or without the belt! You could dress it up with the belt and wedges and a clutch or do flat sandals and a cute backpack purse or crossbody! The dresses are perfect! The swimsuit and cover up was perfect also! Great haul girlie!

Interesting to see what is coming for Summer - as where I am we're just coming into Winter, so swimsuits are not even part of my vocabulary. Pretty good haul this episode - everything but the jumpsuit (trying to do anything, getting in a car, climbing stairs...with the amount of fabric floating around my legs would be annoying). Totally agree on some of the material they use is fab then some, cheap is not even close to how awful it feels! I had bought dresses seen on " influencers" I related to as size, shape & likes ! Now , I ordered same they had been comped/ gifted. Items were all over size fit wise! Chemical & dampness. Then when I emailed to ask about return, the broken English, the stating insisting I was not truthful on how big & long the one dress was.. then same person badgered me as to why was I not giving a 4/5 star rating. Nope , the cheap material, construction of one dress, the refusal to allow return of the other dress for a size 2 sizes down as it was that big all over. . I have read thru lines of influencers since, seems some of same issues of fit, material, continue on full size bodies that are in much better shape, smaller plus size than me, yet seems off still. .My experience. I gave the dresses to local giveaway. No one took them & they request 3,4,5,& 6x women's sizes frequently due to need & high cost of plus sizes. Reason .dresses just too big , alterations..cost of .hemming, sleeves,.. they hang with tags at the shelter closet. :(

I have gotten so many things from companies, many of whom are intending on paying me, that are just junk- When I do, I always write them and let them know that I my review is going to be (overtly negative, mostly negative, etc) and why. They can pay me for a review, but not for my opinion! Typically they try to convince me to film a positive review, but the options are 1) honest review or 2) no review. I personally think that companies sending me clothes is necessary to my continued work on KZbin- otherwise I would either go broke or do a lot of purchasing and returning (which I’m not incredibly comfortable with). That said, I will always be honest- the whole point is to see what things look like in real life! I hate that you have had that experience- I would recommend contacting the influencer! Most emails are in descriptions. I would absolutely be livid and contact the brand!!

I had all of these things planned in this ‘time off of work’ (I.e. surgery recovery). But it has really just been a lesson in being forced to slow down. Not a lot of productivity around here! Almost looks like the bust is too tall on the second fruit dress, like there is extra fabric at the top which isn't sitting nicely even though the rest of it fits perfectly. Not sure if it was actually gaping or if it's just a trick of the camera/lighting and would look fine normally. Some pins or tailoring might elevate it further, though I wouldn't bother, it still looks great regardless!

I would sew a short strip of at least 5/8 inch wide elastic to that dress at the top edge under the arms to hold it closer to the body so there's no sag in the fabric there, but not so tight as to make it uncomfortable.

Not a fan of the white dress, I do like it without the belt. Love that swimsuit and coverup. Grapefruit dress is very nice. The second fruit dress is very pretty. Love the green one piece!

The grapefruit dress was beautiful! A fruit haul sounds like a great idea. The green jumpsuit looked "maternity wear" to me; I liked it nonetheless - without the belt in my opinion. The swimming costume was fantastic.

Hi Meredith. I tried to sign up for Stitch Fix yesterday & I couldn’t figure out how to do it. They asked so many questions & I couldn’t figure out what info they wanted. Maybe I’m having problems because I’m almost 76. Are all the “mail” order clothing apps this difficult. Is there one or two you would recommend to be clearer & easier than others? I’m on a tight budget so I don’t have a lot of extra money to spend. I sure could use your help to get me started with clothing orders. I normally wear a 2X or 3X depending on how the items are made. I also need 3/4 sleeves for ev I just started watching your KZbin videos & I really enjoy watching them. You are such a hoot.

Hey Lynette, I appreciate you watching! In all honesty, I do not know of a service that is easier than Stitch Fix, but I can tell you that once you get past that first part of signing up with the services, it is much easier month to month. That said, you still have your check out on the computer or phone to pay and let them know what you want. I think that a better service for you may be Short Story www.shortstorybox.com. I have not tried it (I am 5’10”) but it caters to women under 5’4” - now it looks like it goes up to a size 20W. I hope that that helps, I’m sorry that I cannot help with simplicity!

I’ll keep on trying to get through the last phase of signing up with Stitch fix because I really like the clothes they chose for you most of the time, except for the sleeves being too short. I’m hoping they still have a good supply of 3/4 sleeves. I can also get long sleeves & have them shortened if I have to. I want you to know how much I love your inspiration & honesty about your body style. You just keep on “keeping it real”.♥️
