How to work brioche crochet blanket Blooming Star.
BLOOMING STAR - my second pattern created using brioche crochet technique. It’s such a relaxing pattern that I have included it into the BiS series.
The pattern creates a star-shaped hexagon and, as in any brioche crochet technique, it has a thick texture. You can work a continuous hexagon of any size or join the motifs to create a blanket, sweater, bag, rug, etc. Here are some ideas I’ve collected and saved on my Pinterest that you might want to take a look at: / crochet-hexagons-join

This is absolutely gorgeous. I want to make this as a blanket for my newest niece for her “tummy time” and playing as well as for cuddling with. Could you please explain how you work out how much yarn of each color you need to buy please? I want to make sure I have enough skeins of each color without going completely overboard and buying far too many skeins. 😊 I am thinking having one as a solid color, and the one a variegated one. Thank you for your help and also thank you for sharing this stunning pattern and tutorial. It was so well explained and beautifully presented. Thank you also for explaining that it looked a hot mess at the beginning and that it would work itself out. Had I been following a pattern and had that result I would have thought I had done something wrong and ripped it out to start over lol. And likely would have given up after several tries.
