Been listening to Perturbator for over a year now. I traveled quite a bit in that time...from northern B.C. to Cali and eventually across to Montreal in a Black 1985 Caprice Classic. On the dark nights where I pushed myself to drive extremely long distances, Perturbator made those distances into some of the best memories I've ever had. Music is but melody and percussion. What makes "Retrogenesis" and much of this genre of music it seems, is the completely novel blending of the lines between the two. Just picked up this album. I am so impressed with one of your bonus tracks, Track 14 - LILITH. That has got to be the best darksynth song I have ever heard. No wonder it was a bonus. I think that song should be the basis for every darksynth song out there. I can listen to it over and over. It's just the perfect introduction/tone/beat/timing/sounds mixing the way they do, and that song produces some of the craziest feelings I've ever felt as a human being.
