Molebatsi Mokone, born on March 8, 1984, in Phalaborwa, has been guided by the spirit of music since he was just a child. At the tender age of 5 or 6, he began singing at a crusade in Namakgale Stadium, driven by a profound connection to his faith and music. His musical journey officially took off in 2004 when he moved to Pretoria to study at Ochrim School of Music.
During his studies, Molebatsi crossed paths with Thebe Mohane, who became his mentor and helped him record his first project at the Jazzworks studio in Johannesburg. Although the project was never released, Molebatsi featured on Thebe's album, "The Legend," gaining significant recognition. One of the tracks he featured on resonated with the masses, leading to his nomination as a full-time member of SAMRO.
In 2010, Molebatsi returned to Polokwane and collaborated with the NPO LACA, composing the theme song "Polokwane City of Stars" for the 2010 event. Now, he's back with a powerful new project titled *"Still I Rize"* featuring the tracks "Acid Rain" and "Umama."
