I read a review in which their sound was termed as "reagan era" which I don't mind, politics aside, it was a remarkable era musically and one I grew up in having been born in 73 i was privy to the apex of new wave, alternative, post modern all the way into the 90's so seeing that more recent bands are finding the value in this style makes me hopeful .

I’m a big into metal rock goth( good goth music like Lebanon, boy harsher, she past away, human Tetris and on and on, etc) but the 80s thing has been building up for years my guy. Like I’d say about 7 years ago is when I first noticed it. I noticed it with some rap track from Danny Brown. But going up that hills cover from phantogram or Chromatics was the first time I’d heard the song a few years ago like 2 years ago
