How do you remove the blower roller on a gold air 12000btu indoor unit. Becos the drain tray has no clips to remove it and no screw on the blower itself to loosen and take off?

Any suggestions on how to clean the blower wheel without taking it apart ? I’m afraid I won’t be able to get it put back together. I have used a compressed air can and tooth brush to get off lots of it , but it still is nasty .

q tips that are wet with solvent, get the face open and turn the wheel as you diddle the slats in the blower wheel.. its what i did on the first time, now i am doing it a second time: electric boogaloo

No need to remove condensate pan unless it's already leaking

No set screw I could see no hub no set screw, not even an opening in blades like other makes have to undo the set screw... as far as I can see inside of the blower wheel on the right it's flat, no hub

No system lines need to be touched. His is just on a bench and not hooked up my friend. Everything is done while the piece he is manipulating is hanging on the wall.

Can you please tell me what kind/type of grease/lubricant goes in the left side bushing/bearing? I removed then replaced bearing and it is making a high pitch whine and I think it is coming from that bearing. It appeared whitish. Thanks

Yes only use liquid cleaners on coil and blower wheel

@@MP-gm5gg I just did a Fujitsu the day I commented. The set screw was locked in place it stripped off just trying to use a screw driver. Spent two hours trying to get it off. Luckily it was my so-workers accidentally fault that the blower wheel got broken so we ordered a motor too and I changed out both the motor and wheel no charge. (She paid 10,000$ to have 6 line sets replaced. The white lines always eventually leak due to a chemical reaction in the insulation) anyways when I did the motor and wheel I was able to get the how unit apart. It was my first time having to change out a wheel and motor on a mini split but it was tedious. Similar to taking a computer apart. Some parts don’t feel like they are supposed to separate they feel like they’re going to break apart. After doing this I realized that the cassette heads are actually easier to take apart than these bad Larry’s.

Hi. I have replaced the blower wheel and unfortunately once i switched on the unit, the blower doesnt turn. I called over a technician and he said it requires balancing and tuning. Which makes me confused since i trust it was already tuned. Any idea sir?

@@hvaciswin723it’s pmuch identical to mine. A heck load of trouble!!! It seems sketchy to pull the coil off and remove the blower out from under it, the pipes! Don’t wanna break anything!!! I’ve opened it and cleaned it my best, removing the blower… a clean but not “as new” blower would be the least of my probs if i broke smth. No tech will keep a booking, they fob me off “i cant find a parking and wont work during hours you can offer me garage space”. Geez, turning down work- business that profitable huh
