Overall how do you like working with the machine? Does it do its job effectively? Also have you ever used a Gulfstream 400, and if so, which do you prefer?

The cbs tornado is quite old now and can handle most jobs. However I've used a Fremco fibre blowing machine and I prefer it over the cbs tornado... the job in the video blew fibre from the bottom of portland bill to the top of the hill. By the cafe. I was quite impressed with it on the day.

Great video. What working pressure were you seeing at the gauge?

Equipment4industry , we keep it in the green where we can. You can still work the machine in the yellow but you need to help the cable along. You can also make slight adjustments while working using the speed controller and the clamp on the top of the machine. However, if it goes into the red then stop the machine straight away and look at the meterage reading to see what’s installed. Then if you have to locate a joint and feed the rest of the Fibre through to that point and figure eight it on the ground or push it up by hand to the end once you have enough Fibre . Don’t exceed 150psi, subduct is rated at 175psi. We use a little baby oil to help the Fibre float along easier. When setting up put about 25ml of baby oil into the subduct and then blow it through with the sponge so it lines the inside of the subduct. You’ll find the Fibre goes much further this way and you’ll be able to blow longer lengths. Any grit or water in the subduct need to be blown through first, depending on who installed the subduct determines if you’ll get a easy job or not. Some guys just don’t understand how crucial it is to have good Cablers.

@@mikecowdrey2891 Do we know what pressure that is, the reason I ask is I am developing a Uber lightweight hydraulic pack as the JCB Beaver pack is a little heavy and a little over kill for the job.

Equipment4industry best pressure to run at is about 60-90 psi, remember not to exceed the pressure of the subduct or tube your blowing through. if they split along the seem your cable will not float to the end.

We run that at 175psi.looks like the same unit, longest run so far is 3600 meters, supposed to do a run at 5900m 7200m and even 9000m. But that 9000m might get broke up into 2
