Good for you. If he was so concerned about captive dolphins feelings, maybe the first thing he would know is you cannot keep such a sacred creature captive in the first place. No matter what you do, if you keep a dolphin in a tank, you are nothing more of a f.. persecutor. People are just cretins.

@@RenoLaringo people are always going to take animals and keep them captive. It’s okay to do things that help those captive animals. There are multiple reasons to keep animals captive beyond just being selfish. You can have breeding programs for endangered species, you can care for animals that are too sick or disabled to survive in the wild, you can rescue “pets” that have been badly kept and need intensive care (who may or may not be able to survive in the wild again). For all you know this guy could be working with rescue centres trying to teach dolphins about making their own bubble rings to survive socially in the wild. You also forget humans are animals too, and many of us don’t have the power to stop animal cruelty. But we do have the power to reduce it in various ways. Don’t be so nasty.

As a teenage about 50 years ago, a friend and I created an oxy-acetylene bomb with the same welding mix that you used and filled up a party balloon. It was an idea that we came up with between the two of us; no interwebs in those days. We used rolled up newspaper as a fuse and set it up against the fence in his laneway and ran around the corner. It must have come close to blowing out the windows of the adjacent houses. ( Note to self : use smaller balloon next time.) I'd like to see you do that but ignite it under water in the pool.

We did the same thing back in the day but filled a black bin bag and used a line of petrol to ignite it. We did it inside my friend's vehicle workshop, the boom was so massive we thought we'd blown the roof off, and it felt like we'd been hit by a truck

The guy who did it planned to add some helium to the mix and try to get it airborne on the second shot, but unfortunately (fortunately?) the police showed up before he started trying it out. And definitely don't try this one at home kids. It put a massive crack in the sidewalk outside of his house.
