It’s not, it’s the growth pattern that makes it look different. Both are done the same.

@@brandongomesz545 Alright so if a clients hair grows differently on the back of his head, as a good barber you wont adapt and cut against the grain, or use different size guards/techniques, but just cut it the same way.... What you said makes 0 sense

What made you use that blade on you instinct clippers. I have that blade I bought with my Suprent and I think it’s trash but I guess it works for you.

You really have to focus about the blending the guidelines because if you don’t use the 0.5 guard correctly the fade won’t come out as clean, but the answer is yes you can use these steps
