They didn't come out, the tower from the middle on the fourth level fires (probably every minute) a laser that deals 200 HP to the opponent's statue. This is a system that is supposed to force players to attack and not to camp, because I remember when the game could last up to 2 hours and it was still impossible to destroy the opponent because he was defending so strongly.
