i got the feeling that one ought to maybe use some of the old battlewounds on the meat cleaver, and sculpt them and show them off instead of removing them completely, complete restorations can also include showcasing such things. :) still looks incredible

Disagree. Restoration is about taking something damaged and getting it back to it's original condition, or as close as you can get to it looking new. You wouldn't restore a classic car just to leave the scratched, rusted paint on it right?

curious about how old it is? love the shape of the front of it was new to me?and how thick it is :) have one more of a full length knife than cleaver it is 24 in long about 1/2 the thickness of that one is 5 inches wide to 4 inches at the handle,,a 8 in handle with 5rivets,the front is just cut at an angle,also have smaller cleaver from that same farm shop is heavy,thick looks like it was made from an axe originally? great work again : ) thanks Peace. И работа проведена хорошая и результат налицо, но форма самого тесака....прямо таки не лучшая...

От ржавчины почистил и будя. А то наковаленку завалил, поверхности не ровнял от новых следов от больших тисков , фасочки не снял, сопригающиеся поверхности не смазал, короче работа какашка. Делаешь какашку не показывай как серишь, будь скромней.
