Moved into a new house after 18 years, promptly fell off the moving truck and busted up my wrist, and have been slowly putting together a new studio space. I even upgraded some gear going with the TD-50x with digital snare and tide cymbal! Snare arrived DOA so it’s been in the shop for 6 weeks and will likely need new guts…That said, I hope to have a new vid out by Summer time. Hope u check it out! Cheers

DING DING DING - So, you win the vid intro question. I had inserted the Mr. Rogers theme music and for whatever reason, there was a copyright issue on that. But the entire thing was meant to be the Mr. Rogers intro on crack LOL!!!! Charlene, I promise - if there's ever anything that's up, I would give some small alert to it. This was just 3 years and change of trying to keep a schedule and using my one day to mix / edit that kinda got old. So, just hit the brakes for a minute. And I just needed to hit 'em the whole way around. I've been playing live again and that's kept my chops in line. It's also just been nice to be back on stage in clubs. BLS is one of those bands that has a really intense following but (kinda like Sevendust maybe?), their songs often aren't widely known. In their case, I'm honestly just a Zakk fan. He's an aggressive and fun guitarist. I'm sitting here today watching the wind blow at 50 odd mph and trying to think of songs so if ya got any suggestions, throw 'em out my friend!!!!

I saw the comment from you on FB and it made me smile Ryann. I really mean that. Naw, if there were ever something that was up where I was injured or anything - I'd let folks know. This was just a judgement call to slow down and wait until it felt fun again. My gear acted up at the end of January and after 2 weeks of it being down - I was like stressed / stressed. That was all this was. I'm on here to entertain and to have fun. That level of stress over down time was my cue to step away for a minute. I appreciate you so damn much Ryann!!!!!

RICH!!!!!!!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Man, from what I have gathered, the BLS shows at one point were just damn epic. Like a party on 11. I've seen a lot of vids of them from that '10 to '12 range and dude, that would've been a dream gig for a guy like me. They played a variety of venues but the ones I like the most are those 1500 to 2000 seaters where you couldn't fit anyone else in there. Energy through the roof. And I can only imagine it was a crowd that partook LOL! I just saw them in January with Anthrax and they were great. They did a solid hour and 15 and just kicked total ass. Appreciate you so damn much my dude!!!!

Dude, I had the chance to see them (BLS) and Anthrax back in February. It really was just a pleasure to see those cats get up there and just do what they do. Zakk has done this so long that I guess it's second nature but the dude cared. He put on a hell of a show and the entire band was just playing good, no bullshit hard rock music. The BLS set up or the Zakk Sabbath set up - to me, that's a dream gig (playing wise). Kind of like the new version of what Alice Cooper has been through the years. A musicians goal gig wise. Don't get me wrong - I know that'll never happen but it was fun to watch and have that same feeling. Have an awesome weekend!!!!

It is bud. It's crazy to me how this - something many of us do entirely for free and to have fun - can become stressful. This is a conversation I'd really like to have with so many other creators like all of us. If it's just me, I'd be surprised LOL! Man, I'm down to two cameras and trying to find some angle I like enough to get it down to one. Only shot I've seen where I saw somebody get my "good" side was this pic where my arms were blocking both sides of my face 🤣🤣. I've told folks "this pic is my good side" I've missed being on here dude. But, hopefully - this was a good thing. If I didn't feel like such a weirdo when I talk, I'd love to do a vid just seeing if everybody can relate. I feel (felt but still feel) this weird pressure to keep a schedule. But dude, that really does wear on me because my God, we're all keeping other schedules. This is supposed to be for enjoyment. That little thing hangs on, I'll give it that 🤣🤣 Joris, I'm an odd duck in some ways and that key is probably the best example. It's a gold pearl drum key. Nothing special about it or anything other than I've had that for going on 25 years. Dude, I treat that thing like it's a cymbal. It's like my good luck charm. And I always have to look down and see it on the snare. It's almost an OCD thing I guess. BUT - to my knowledge, it's never leaped off. It's come off during hectic change outs and stuff but it just sits and hangs on for the ride. Appreciate ya my friend!!!!

I would LOVE to do that whole album man. Seriously - I'm the weirdo that keeps No Rest For the Wicked at the top of my Ozzy collection. Do not get me wrong - I love all of the releases with Randy and Jake (and Brad Gillis on Speak Of the Devil) but No Rest happened right as I was learning to play. Randy Castillo was a massive influence. The only reason you don't see Tatooed Dancer, Miractle Man, Bloodbath in Paradise, Fire In the Sky (I can keep going LOL) is Ozzy's copyright on here. His set up shuts down almost all cover attempts so that's why I don't bother. And it sucks too man. I would LOVE to do that one. Throw out some more options from different artists my friend! @@TreyBDrums That particular song played on a late-night video clip show called Rage (started back in '87 and still going strong), every Friday night they'd play the heavy stuff for a couple hours and I'd tape that stuff on the VHS player back in the early to mid 90's. My introduction to Pride And Glory and heaps of other bands I wouldn't have heard otherwise (as well as lots of groups I knew about); there was also a Canadian band called I Mother Earth, Rage played their song "Rain Will Fall" on one of those late night binges. It's very likely to be found here on KZbin, give it a listen if you want to.

I was playing on a house kit back in November and they said to bring snare / cymbals / pedals. Well, I just had a hunch I might need my snare stand and damn was I right. But you'll have to guide me as I am a confessed boob man and it may be a Southern thing LOL!!!! You are a good dude Bryan. Actually, you're a DAMN good dude. I just fucking appreciate you man. On the drum key, yes but not too bad. When I isolate, I can drill down on that close mic and it's in there but not as bad as it would seem. Anymore, I just apply the gate I know I'm gonna use and the compression / fx that I don't spend much time on it. Now if I were actually tracking something for a tune, the slightest little bit would drive me nuts. I cut two songs for a solo cat about 6 months ago and TOTALLY forgot to take the drum key off. I had to send him totally isolated tracks without hardly any processing. I ended up doing those tracks over because I could hear it. Then, in an ironic deal - he asked me to send the ones where the drum key was rattling and those are the ones he rolled with to my knowledge 🤣🤣 Anyways, appreciate the fuck out of ya bro
