Ugh those stickers they splat on the cases are awful but i am jealous of you and your HMV. We dont really have any stores in the states devoted to home media, unless its used media. Really liking these vids of you and the lil puppers out in the wild! Cheers from the US.

They’re price stickers? It’s a requirement in the uk to tell a customer how much something is before they take it to the till.

@@Damarshyeah but I think they mean putting them on the slipcovers so it damages it when you peel it off, they could put them underneath on the plastic wrapping. They could also put the price on the shelf like at supermarkets and not on the product

Lawrence Of Arabia has had a standalone release on 4K in a steelbook in the UK, the US, Canada, Germany, Australia, Italy, Spain and other countries mid 2022. In fact, the same steelbook was re-released just back in February this year, 2024, in some of those countries again. Still can be tricky to find, but not impossible. I imagine it will get another pressing at some future date.

Will be sure to! 😊 plus, its great that more shops are dog friendly these days ❤. Also, I agree with your comment about the price point of 4k, when dvd came out as a new format, they were around the £15-20 mark so the price may drop for 4k eventually as the format/technology evolves

Thankfully Lawrence of Arabia was also released solo in a steel book in the US only and I managed to get it from US Amazon. So you didn't have to get the big expensive columbia classics collection to own it. So worth it looks amazing

Great video! I also stumbled across the 88 films offer in HMV and spent a long time there 😂 I got those 4 you highlighted just based on the artwork. Postman and Taxi Hunter were both great, not watched others yet. I also picked up Heroes Shed No Tears by John Woo - very good pulpy action film, would recommend if thats your jam. May have to go back to hmv before offer ends..

Watched your video this morning and you persuaded me to go downtown to my local HMV well all i can say is you are very lucky as my local branch seems to be more interested in selling you fluffy toys and plastic figures. there was a collectors labels section at the back but no stand out offers like 2 for £15 and if they had Final Cut titles they were hiding them well. i am in Kent and i'm guessing you are in Manchester? well you're certainly better served then me, but i guess we are lucky to still have them on the high street when so many stores have closed.

And Elliot moves swiftly passed Coppola’s “One from the Heart” are you not interested . Worth it to listen to the soundtrack alone . Also if you are picking up some of the Final Cut titles , give Slap Shot a go . This was a childhood favourite of mine .

Just picked up the classics Withfinder General 4k and Blood On Satan's Claw 4k from 88 films. Those along with Wicker man are the unofficial "unholy trilogy" as they say.

Wow does HMV have a great selection of movies! We have nothing as well stocked as that in Wisconsin. The closest is Barnes & Noble with Criterion, Arrow and Shout, and then a smattering of studio releases. Very jealous. You did skip over On From the Heart from Francis Ford Coppola.

Anatomy of a Fall is amazing. It's just landed on Prime. Thanksgiving is a very fun slasher. My favourite recent 88 Films release is Street Law with Franco Nero. I prefer it to all three of the films in the Cosa Nostra set, and they're great. Ps. What's wrong with being Cexy?

Firstly what a cute dog, I didn't think you could take dogs into HMV so that's me with a new shopping partner 😊 That 88 films sales is a beast, I recommend all their CAT III stuff like Taxi Hunter and Erotic Ghost Story. I've got some final cut stuff, it's decent but very limited on extras and stuff but they do only charge about £12 a movie and they have reversible art to remove age stickers. Great hunt Elliott, hope you enjoy your pick ups ❤
