If it has the yellow clamshell with the artwork that just shows the Submarine, it's the '99 release. The '87 release comes in a cardboard slipcover case. Both were released under MGM.

I miss the days when studios put actual art on their discs. Streaming and downloading are both killing the DVD/Blu-Ray business.

This is what got me into buying the 2012 Yellow Submarine DVD. It has the same stuff as the Blu ray. I got it a few years ago and I watch it every weekend at Dad's. Why you ask? Because that's my favorite movie of all time! I love Paul because he's the pretty boy.
