This specific art style was very popular in the early 2000s it was basically the calarts of its time. Being both aesthetically pleasing and easy to animate. It's basically a perfected version of the style that shows like "The Flintstones", "Underdog", and "The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle" had pioneered in the 50s and 60s.
