An emotional change of command Mike - it must have felt really good to be there; Thank you for recording this for posterity. Boss Doyle was one of the Great Angel's skippers, calm and relaxed, but authoritative; you got the feeling that you could go to him with almost any trouble you had in the world, regardless of rank, and that it would be dealt with in trust and with the strictest confidence; at the same time, there was a line; if it was crossed, there would be repercussions, but once those repercussions were handed out no more would be heard about it. I suspect this engendered a great deal of respect for him with those he commanded. A rare breed. Let's hope Commander Kesselring squares up to the job just as well, if not better than his predecessor. I wish him the best of luck.

Just read your comment after the end of the 2022 season and it is safe to say Kesserling did a damn good job as the commanding officer!
