Stationed at NAS Whiting Field from 69 thru 72 and used to catch the Blues many times at Sherman Field at Mainside. F-4 Phantoms just prior to moving on to the A-4 Skyhawk. (Oil embargo)

Great video! I was at a fall homecoming airshow there back in the late 1980s when one of the wing jets, #2 or #3 can't remember, had lost an engine early on in the demo during a diamond climb. You could see the right afterburner not being lit when we looked at all the tailpipes. Amazingly, he landed and in about 10 minutes was airborne again in the #7 two-seater and rejoined the four ship never to miss another formation.They turned that bird around QUICK!
