Goosebumps every time. No matter how many times I’ve watched them fly. As soon as you hear those engines.

I’m the same way! They perform at the Dayton Air Show in Ohio every other year so a week or so before the show, whenever I hear jets, I drop everything and run outside! They could just be a little dot a mile away on the horizon but it still causes goosebumps and puts a big ol stupid grin on my face!🤘🇺🇸💪

When I was a kid they "redding California " used to let them break the sound barrier above the airport. Nothin like that thunder! Got a boom from the sr71 once. That one hurt. I was 7 or 8. Made me cry. I'll never forget. It was there then it was gone. No sound till 3 or for seconds. It's equivalent to standing on the start line at nitro or funny cars.

On July 4th 2019, I was living in in Southern Maryland and attended the presidents big “Salute To America” all day celebration on The National Mall and got to see flyovers of several bad ass American military aircraft. Among them were The Blue Angels, the presidential 747, (he was not in it so it wasn’t Air Force One.) several Ospreys, and grand finale was a B2 with a F-22 at each wingtip! I was speechless, I had goosebumps, my knees were shaking a bit… I’ve seen the B2 that’s on display at The US Air force museum in Fairborn Ohio but to see one fly directly overhead was something I’ll never forget! WOW🤯🇺🇸🤘

I was there! Seriously, if you’ve not been to a show, YA NEED TO GO! Videos don’t do it justice. The engines on full AB sounds like the air is ripping apart, and feels like a shuttle taking off. It’s like the difference in watching that top fuel rail car on KZbin, then watching it from the fence line at the tree. Nothing compares. Beyond that, the skill the pilots have is amazing!

@@pilotintraining2391 - Ah. I'm a native Floridian and we had your retiree Canadian "snowbirds" as we called them rent our condos in the wintertime keeping our sleepy beach town alive in the autumn-winter months. I saw the real Snowbirds once back in the 1980s there at an airshow at Eglin AFB in the panhandle of Florida alongside the Thunderbirds. Sure the 'Birds have their speedy little knife turning F-16s, but there's just something more majestic about having 9 aircraft in formation. But again, no demo team on the planet flies as close a formation as the Blues ;-) . Oh and a fun fact on these "new" Rhino Super Hornets: F/A-18E SN# 165536, which has flown as #1 and #5, was used in the long delayed and soon-to-be released movie Top Gun II.
