The US Navy Blue Angels flying around San Francisco during the Thursday survey/practice runs during Fleet Week San Francisco 2016. This is not the official show, it is practice runs. Taken from central San Francisco, not one of the usual/standard viewing areas.

Love seeing the Blues fly over the city. Sometimes I like watching the survey flights and watching what the Blue Angels do between maneuvers more than the actual airshow.

Great video! We had the unexpected pleasure of seeing this practice session whilst on holiday in San Francisco. We were bobbing about in the bay on a pleasure boat so my attempts to video them were atrocious ! They put on a great display the following day. It made my holiday.

Yeah, they're pretty fast -- difficult enough to capture in motion from solid ground, I imagine it would be tough on a boat.

They survey the areas they are going to fly over, to become familiar with the area, landmarks, obstacles, etc.

Party Of The Third Part​ Oh ok. Thanks for the response. They were In Baltimore a couple of weeks ago for fleet week and let me tell you they were awesome. I love the blues.
