This arrangement, taken from Mauro Giuliani’s (1781-1829) ‘Sei Arie Nazionali Scozzesi’ is dedicated to his pupil Elisabetta Mackenzie.
The text from the 1803 edition reads:
‘O where and O where does your highland laddie dwell;
O where and O where does your highland laddie dwell;
He dwells in merry Scotland where the bluebells sweetly smell,
And all in my heart I love my laddie well'
Played on a Michael Gee guitar. Edited by Iain Coleman.
