This 2012 E350 5.4 came to us for a full build before heading to CO for mountain life! 6" progressive leaf kit, 35" Toyo AT2s, Black Rhino wheels, Aluminess nerf bars, Rigid lights, OBA, sPOD, Aluminess tire carrier

Looks great. Is the 5.4 adequate for the mountains? Does it slow way down when climbing long inclines on the highway? Trying to decide if the 5.4 will work, or I need the V10, or diesel.

I’ve not owned a v10 but I’ve had two 5.4s, and 7.3, 6.0, 6.7 on the diesel end. I was surprised with the 5.4, it doesn’t have the power of the diesel or v10 but still plenty in my book. I had a 5.4 in a 16ft box truck that was grossly over weighted. I broke the springs, wheel bearing and was surprised I never destroyed the axle. The lifters were the main issue on it. I’ve got a 6.0 in a 2006 Quigley and love it, i with it was a unjoint

I concur, I’ve owned all those motors minus the v10 and the 5.4 is fine except on those really steep long drags and you’ll start to feel it. The lifters started clicking at 80k and I ran it for an 60+ until I sold it. It’s was 350 box truck that I had grossly overloaded all the time. The was a sprayfoam rig inside with drums of material. I also now own a 2006 e350 6.0 quigley that’s getting all 8 injections replaced

I think the cab lights are from Recon, the grille lights are a basic 3/4 smoked amber LED.
