I just got a CID xtreme piston motor cutter for one of our SVL75-2 Its a beast, the svl75-2 does a get job running this kind of cutter ,plenty of power and flow. It came with 1/2" couplers and 3/4" lines, but the dealer is changing it out to 3/4" couplers and 1" line.

Yeah these cutters really clean up some ugly land quick! And for what you get I think pretty cheap also.

It appears we have the same horsepower set up and mower other than mine is a closed face. Have you had any issues with yours?

The bellow that holds the overflow grease fell off, other than that it's done very well.

Thanks for the videos! I'm getting ready to buy a brush cutter for my SVL 65 high flow machine? How's the Blue Diamond holding up? Any complaints or issues.....know of any other brands worth looking at?
@ResidentialDirtWork4 жыл бұрын
I would stay standard flow, I see zero benefit in going high flow on one of these cutters. The BD is holding up very well! There are a few other good options out there also. email me at residentialdirtwork@gmail and I can go into more detail for u.

@@ResidentialDirtWork is this BD have the round disk with teeth? The one that cuts a 10" tree? If so what is the cost of the cutter?
@ResidentialDirtWork4 жыл бұрын
@@stevensaxon8888 it will cut as big of a tree as you are willing to let fall on you. Their are 4 massive blades attached to a centered disk.

@@stevensaxon8888 that one was $6800 if I remember right. I've had it for about 2 yrs now. It will cut what ever u put in front of it. Including t-post and concrete...

Was this an old clearcut or an abandoned pasture? Is it typical of the places you reclaim?
@ResidentialDirtWork4 жыл бұрын
That was an abandoned pasture with about a 12 yr growth. I would say it's pretty typical of what I cut most. It's funny how there are people who don't want to keep up their property and then they sale to someone who does.

Is the Kubota svl 75 you have a high or standard flow machine?
@ResidentialDirtWork5 жыл бұрын
It has both. Im running standard flow in this video
@davida63835 жыл бұрын
Thank you for replying! Do you find you often need/use the high flow option? I’m in the market for a used svl75 and not sure if I’m going to need the high flow option.
@ResidentialDirtWork5 жыл бұрын
@@davida6383 I dont think I will ever use it on this machine. I have used high flow on other machines with brush cutters and could not tell a difference. My machine came with high flow so I took it. Only thing I think u would ever use high flow on a 75 would be a cold planner, stump grinder, or power rake and they make standard flow models in those now.

down here in south texas most guys run a brushhog through that flimsy stuff, your cutter does a great job though. at the ranch i used to work at we had a 6040 JD and a batwing mower running over stuff like that and thicker trees aswell, we would clean about 5 miles 30ft wide in like 3 hours or less
@ResidentialDirtWork5 жыл бұрын
Yeah but y'all do everything bigger, better, and faster in Texas right? We have some big farms around here that run the batwings and run over just about anything that is in front of them, same as the right-of-way guys.
@johndowe70035 жыл бұрын
@@ResidentialDirtWork yup when I was doing that we were doing right of ways . And yes the ranches I work on were 125000acres, 10000acres and some other smaller stuff too a batwing is plenty for that small stuff, rule of thumb is if your tractor can run it over , you can cut it up lol😂

What’s all that vibration? Not a good impression to make for Kubota and Diamond.
@ResidentialDirtWork5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Davidson! Its a GoPro on a suction cup mount, maybe thats what you are seeing? As far as the vibration of the machine it's on tracks with no suspension and rigid frame so it's going to shake you anytime you run over a stump or large rock or even hard ground. The only time the cutter shakes is if you hit a stump or cut a large hardwood. I have ran several cutters and they are all about the same on vibration. The CTL's with suspension that I'm aware of is the new bobcat torsion axle ( not sure how well theirs works), the ASV which has the same axle system plus floating bogies and a rubber track and rubber undercarriage and Cat makes a line of Multi terrain loaders same as ASV's (all others are steel tracks covered with rubber and steel undercarriages). Hope this helps in understanding some of the vibration you may be seeing.
