this fight always felt super off to me for some reason. I think it's how weak Blue seems at times and how strange the Crystal Gens' strategies are at times lol. For Blue, while she held her own against such a large group of formidable foes especially considering her powers are emotionally based, if it weren't for plot convenience during times of the Crystal Gems' incapacitation she probably could do things like slamming her gigantic hand ship down onto the tiny puny Gems or use its powerful laser attack that even Peridot's worker ship had. As for the Gems it just felt totally off what some of them were doing, while we saw coordinated attacks like the one scene with fluid animation they really should have just used Sugilite's flail or Sardonyx's hammer to do heavy blunt damage that would knock her into the sea, not Peridot's amusingly pathetic can barrage or literally launching her onto Blue's face somehow without poofing her immediately afterwards. Lapis totally could do much more than just two weak chains of water too, she created a column up to space for crying out loud! She probably could have cloned the Crystal Gems and Blue herself if the writers thought of it. Anyways this fight always felt off in terms of choreography and pacing. The video's idea of how Alexandrite and Stevonnie try to fight together makes more sense at least, albeit it feels too much like the Malachite fight and Lapis pops out of nowhere now.

well, while lapis is SUPER strong i don't think she is diamond level strong, as for fusions i think blue's emotions would make them fall apart.. the only thing i think could possible beat blue if she was really trying is another diamond or maybe if all the gems fused together... but fluorite is something that negates this thought.. so maybe it's perfect the way it is.
