I think its because Rin has the blue flames and demon features. While they are twins it's easier to remember Rin is Satan's son because he looks like it, especially when using his flames. Hypocritical of them but I can see why.

Izumo is the only one who didn't care about Rin being a demon. I don't understand why Yukio had so much hatred for Rin.. He needs to stop making Rin suffer. He says he wants to protect Rin, but he's doing the opposite of what he said and i don't get it. Didn't he say he wanted to protect him, but why is he being so mean to him.. Rin is trying his best to not suffer or even show it. He wants to remain strong for everyone he cares about. It's just messed up.. (Well i wanna say that i love it when Rin is in his real demon form. The white hair looks good on him and he's adorable as always)
