Digging the build mate! I have almost the same build but I’m glad to see some choices that I’ve been thinking of doing topping an OTS. Almost like a perfected pre-Mekk Knight Allen “Seto Kaiba” variant (Also, thanks for helping prove a point I’ve been making locally about Blue-Eyes still being viable as a Rogue Deck) Though I must ask: how did 2 Pot of Desires treat you? Like, how often did you go Desires into Desires?

Goliath is my favorite variant, I use Protector with Eyes of Blue for the ‘Ancient Rules’ effect after specialing Alternative to the field. It makes getting to Dark Matter a lot faster, and now with Bingo, you can get to your missing pieces way faster and you can lock your opponent out more consistently. I’m annoyed Solid Dragon isn’t treated as normal so you can’t flip Silver’s Cry and turn off problematic effects, but ya can’t win them all

Right? Solid dragon imo is jus bad card design. It doesnt do anything relevant in the deck except be a perpetual stone target which might sound good in theory but... you have to chain it to your opponent... ugh...

Tim Jennings I know Melody can’t search it, Slumber can while in grave. Ideally you would want the option of being able to resolve though.

William Cronshaw If the guy wanted additional targets, Gadarla and to a lesser extent Dogoron would be good options. Both are Level 8's which means you can use them as both Trade-In fodder and Rank 8 material. Dogoron is iffy because he has 3000 attack, but it's there if you want it.

Dragons Bind would be an amazing floodgate addition to this deck. Solid dragon is another target and easily accessible

I understand why he's running Goliath, nothing wrong with ED lock, the 3 Gameciel kind of has me scratching my head a bit but hey if this guy made it work kudos to him, other than the Turtles this deck seems pretty decent, just shocked to see a BE deck top, makes me feel pretty good as a BE player, but as for the new support? I'm not much for Bingo Machine Go! Yeah there's the search ability but I feel like it's not too good in this variant, maybe better for the Chaos build and even though the The Ultimate Creature of Destruction seems ok, I kind of feel like it's necessary because of Azure Eyes, but kudos to other BEs players who use them

Zac Thomas even tho bingo machine isn't a must have in the regular blue eyes build I'd still consider running about 2 because consistency is something this deck struggles with sometimes and you want more ways you can search out your blue eyes cards

Personally I only see Bingo Machine being viable in Chaos Builds; most of the time Melody of Awakening Dragon does for Blue-Eyes Toolbox what most would plan to do with Bingo Machine but with a slight advantage. Not to mention the Discard can help pop off certain effects if you use it the right way 🤔

Learn it fellas, you must always use the goliath lock. Blue eyes cant put anymore than two interruptions at best, and that aint stopping the metadecks of nowdays. Yo better rely on floodgates like goliath, vfd or skill drain to win.

Pure Blue-Eyes can't reliably pull off the Calamities combo so Goliath makes a nice alternative win condition. What is your turn 1 play in pure Blue-Eyes without Goliath or Calamities? A lone Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon or Hope Harbinger? That's not nearly enough anymore.

Reliability on my deck i have 5 cards that can make Calamities 1st turn with a summon sorceress or Saryuja and number 30 or blue eyes spirit, and calamities. The "goliath lock" its way to easy to brake. Especially mirror match. Not to mention if you draw into goliath and/or arkbrave you are 100% basically fuck and no consistency in it why my version of the deck it can make other plays differently besides ur basic combos

@@RoachyPR let me guess; glow-up bulb, monster reborn, one for one, foolish burial, and soul charge. Blue-Eyes still can't do it everytime consistently and hand traps eat the deck alive. Goliath is a decent fall back plan and it will only get better once the Heiratic link monster comes out and we no longer need Arkbrave and Dark Matter Dragon to get to him on the opponent's turn.

Also, keep in mind, the Dark Matter Dragon combo is a little less vulnerable to hand traps than the Calamities combo since Dark Matter Dragon sends 3 dragons to your grave as a cost (meaning that part can't be negated) whereas Cloudcastle is wide open to veiler, ghost ogre and infinite impermanence.

This decklist is me when I heard about new support.... solid dragon... why tho? Bingo machine is great and all, but solid dragon being a 2500 just makes me want to die. Too many weak dragons that will get beat over, I’m already running 2 DSoW, why do I want more crap that I can’t search with melody?

Color me impressed that blue eyes floats, that is almost entirely what the deck is about already if you aren’t losing or otking. And also, putting it back in the deck just seems so “why” to me. It should just go to grave so that you can revive it again. It’s already a hard once per turn. Card isn’t well designed (to me). You can’t even white stone it back in the same turn to double dip for any of its effects. And why would you summon this from deck again over any other blue eyes card?

Solid Dragon is good in theory, but in reality Blue-Eyes doesn't really have good ways to use it disruptively (you can summon it on the end phase with a stone or revive it with Return of the Dragon Lords to maybe bait something out I guess). Combine that with the fact that it's never treated as a normal monster and it's tag out effect can only be used defensively and Dragon Spirit of White is just better in pretty much every way.

Slumber not for Special Summon 2 Kaiju in this Deck, you can discard it with Melody and search a Kaiju banishing slumber, Kaiju an opponent's Monster and Take control with Mind Control, then use one of your lv8 and XYZ, just think Melody Kaiju, Search Alternative and vanilla, Tribute opponent and destroy other with Alternative, XYZ Boom! You must have not played any gouki players, or played really bad ones that didn’t hand loop you. Blue eyes auto losses to gouki. And blue eyes also has a really bad match up against sky strikers. They just out resources you if they don’t brick

Zephyr Wolf it helps way more than it hurts the deck, most Blue Eyes decks run 3 of all of their most important pieces, so there’s a minimal risk for a boost to consistency which is what Blue Eyes very much needs
