Thanx for adding who actually wrote this song Music Maestro.So many people automatically think that Willie Nelson wrote this.and he didn't; though Dwight Yoakam quite rightly pointed out that Willie has made this song his own.This incredible song has been covered by so many people:it's nice to see some recognition where its due and anyone can identify with the words of this extraordinary track first becoming a massive hit for W.Nelson in 1975. Love is like a dyin' ember;only memories remain.. Through the ages I'll remember those blue eyes cryin' in the rain.
