I just got off Pacifica today after your guys trip and we landed 5 on our trip. I had one of the bigger grade 130lb and there was another gentleman w the same size. It was tough and the high swells did not help either. You guys did good.

We were last weekend. Boat had problems but we got the first day in. 47 bluefin the first night. 20lbs to just over 100lbs

Those speed masters are great value for what i do. I don’t fish much but they seem to hold up.

Great video...i am 70 years old but am in good shape. I am going on the Vagabond in August for 3 day trip. Is most of the night fishing done on tuna jigs? No live bait at night? Also I'm too old to buy a 2 speed reel.. is there any chance of catching 50-60 pound on a conventional TLD 15, or Penn 4/0 or Daiwa 6/0 reel ? Give me a name of a jig that you think would work and I will get it.. Thanks again ,fun video

Can you fish those 300g riprollers stock hooks and rings? also what # line test were you using? thanks!

Rip rollers were intended for Rock fish and bottom fish. I’d upgrade the hooks for insurance purposes. I have 130lb Hercules white braid spooled on my speedmaster 20

How much does one of these trips cost roughly? I live in Sacramento and usually fish in San Francisco Bay but we don’t have multiple day charters here

1.5 day trips start at $425 which is a great deal considering the BFT is $40 a pound. Check out Seaforthlanding.com for more info. They have charters going all the time.
