I miss my blue and gold macows. I raised them from the egg "97" till 2007. Unfortunately i wasnt living on the right side of the law and had to go away for a little bit so my ex was left with the birds but they loved her just as much as she loved rhem but unfortunately she couldnt keep up with the bills and lost the apartment in January and she had to move back with her parents. We tried to get a sitter till we got home bevause her parents had 3 cats that would try to attack them through the cage and i didnt want my birds to be stressed so i called the lady i bought them from and asked if she could keep the birds till i cane home and had better living arrangements and she said fine no problem so my ex took Cody and Kaya to her house and they where fine my ex could go over and feed them and play with them a couple times a week just to keep the bond going till she went away for work for 2 weeks.when she got home she calked the women but a guy answered and said wrong number that he just got a new phone and thats the number he got. So she drove to the womens house and tbe women moved and took my babies. I was devastated and still am till this day i look and look and look online to see if i ever run across them but nothing. I dont blame anyone but myself for this happening and till this day im still hurt and saddened. I was just showing my wife and son your video saying i wanted another Bird since im grown and stable. Your bird reminded me of my Cody he said evergthibg your bird did step up,hello,hi ect ect my cody was a talking machine lol GOOD LUCK they are a awesome breed.

Nevius im so very sorry. your story is heartbreaking. hopefully one day you will be reunited with your birds. they become family members and we bond with them just as we do with family. have you ever considered adopting a rescue? theres a website called RESCUEME.ORG that ive adopted several of my birds from. the latest is a 22YR old B&G. shes awesome. there are so very many that need &deserve good homes. i hope this helps you.

My B&G, Ra and I have watched probably about 100 macaw videos on YT. It's one of our favorite activities when we're confined to being indoors during stormy or cold weather. He reacted more positively to this video than any other we've watched. Not sure why - probably felt attuned to Ozzy. He gave him his greatest form of "praise" - raised what was in his claw (this time it was shredded paper) above his head repeatedly as he bowed. He usually reserves this for his favorite foods, so this was a rare display of "I Like It a Lot" by Ra! I think the close-up zoom shots help a lot to "tune him in" to Ozzy, since most YT macaw vids don't do that. But even so, he was still totally tuned in to just Ozzy's talking because he maintained his avid attention to him even when I scrolled down off of the video screen to type this. Interestingly, the thunder heard in the background on your video is what we've been hearing almost all day here, and every other day the past 10 days - here on the Gulf Coast of Florida. So that probably also made Ra feel "at home" there with Ozzy. :) If you want to introduce Ozzy to his admirer, there are a couple videos of him on my channel, including one of him dancing. Unfortunately, there aren't any featuring him talking.

I have a 10 yr old B&G ,Coki, that really enjoyed this video. I play them for part of his enrichment. He very seldom screams out ,even tho he and the goffins cockatoo i adopted,Frosty, screamed like crazy both times i visited before adopting them. I almost changed my mind because they were so loud that the former owner and i couldnt even carry on a conversation. It took my Coki over 2 mos to let his inner bird out. He gets more attention now and also is on a much better diet. He says " MMMMMMM" everytime i give him fruits & veggies or some treat that he especially likes. Seedless purple grapes and snow peas are his favorite foods lol You have a very beautiful feather baby. How old was he when he started talking really well? My Coki says about 15-20 words but we are working on new ones.
