If you look through the Blue Jays 1st round draft picks from the last 20 years it's a miracle this team has had periods of making the playoffs and competing. For a team with such vast resources, you would think they would spend some of it to improve their dismal scouting division.

The team in the aughts and Bud Selig used to have to stick to the league's slot recommendations before the hard slot bonus system was implemented leaguewide. This was to keep the Commissioner's Office happy in order to continue to receive revenue sharing monies back when the Canadian dollar was so low. But it's true that the picks over the last 15 years or so unencumbered have been awful.

Not sure why you think Moreno over Kirk would have helped the pitching staff. Kirk is a better pitch framer.

I was with you until the supposed Blue Jay's expert couldn't even pronounce our pitchers names properly. Also saying we lost the Moreno trade trade the year that Varsho finally gets to play his position(CF) give me a break. Moreno couldn't frame and all our pitchers had a higher Era with him on the mound. He's not the answer. Varsho will do more to help our pitchers than Moreno ever will.

Before the draft i thought Rays were going to take him, they ended up taking Taylor , Armun to me is kinda HS version of Taylor except for the walk rate. Though Taylor is probably more a Brandon Lowe type

I would say Nimmala is a better defender. Taylor is a better hitter and obviously less risky
