@jeremyhen100 nothing happens. The reason it works is due to the microscopic dimples in the surface of mentos. The soda has a much larger surface area to react with, allowing CO2 to be released. Once you drink the coke, it loses the CO2 while it is going down the esophagus to the stomach. A Mentos won't do a thing once it gets there since there's too little CO2 left. :) Have fun!

There was an animated music video, in the early 90's that had a man like figuire, with a bag or hood over his head, in like a cellar or basement watching stuff that looked almost like bowel movement going through like a sewage pipe, but it also seemed to suggest a persons bowels, the music was great and the video was very abstract, deep,strange and weird. It used to come on MTV and VH1. in the early 90's I think. Can someone help with the song and name of the group ???

well of coarse it loses it fizz after you pour it out that why you keep in the bottle when you do it and when you put mentos into a glass it doesnt have the bottle neck in order to get a great enough pressure to create anything

you dont have to shake it. as soon as you drop it in, it shoots all over the place. these guys take a needle, thread 5 onto a string, put a hole in the cap, poke the top of the string through the hole and clip it there. when you unclip it, the mentos falls in and the coke shoots out through the hole.

Yes, it would just overflow, unless you stop it from getting out. Then your stomach would most likely go boom. At least if it's enough. Just check what happens if you don't let it get out of a bottle. You shouldn't be close to the bottle during the experiment though :P

No, they ARE NOT the Blue man Group. This song may be a BMG's song, but these guys are not the BMG. And don't you come with "they are just not dressed up"...because the guys from BMG are all bold and tall...and this little hairy fellow doesn't look like one of the BMG's member...lol They are the famous guys from Eepybird... They use diet soda so the mess isn't so sticky when you clean up afterwards. No sticky sugars!
