BLUE MARLIN & RUBY SNAPPER - Deep Dropping and Trolling on the way back to Coral Bay.

Where on the way back to Coral Bay after refit in Exmouth. Finding a few more remote Ruby spots, and bagging some proper ones this time. Also a nice mixed bag on the lures. Dolly and Whaoo for the bag and Tagging Brock's first Blue Marlin. Always a bit of chaos game fishing 2 up on the 50ft boat.

Love seeing the Hoo caught, still on my bucket list. Can I ask what depth of water and troll speed of the Richters? I'm at Gnaraloo early May and fanging at the bit to get out there.

Sorry for delayed reply, As fast as the lure will swim for Hoo, will nerve be too quick as long as lure still swimming ok, we run up to about 12kt. Depth is not that relevant that are where their food is. But 70-120m we find most.

so lucky to have a good fishery out there, dont rape it like sydney, we use to have great puka/ kingfish and bar cod fishery

Yeh we do what we can to try and look after it. It's pretty good, sharks aren't getting any better.

@@SeaforceCoralBay sharks need a new market and cull all the way down to coffs. too many sharks too much competition ecosystem imbalance
