In today's video, I want to introduce you to blue mistflower aka Conoclinium coelestinum. This is one of my favorite native plants, and hopefully this video will explain why. It attracts butterflies, bees, fills in on its own if it's in a spot it likes, and much more. The root system is incredible, and you can divide it! It also self seeds. Blue Mistflower is not only pretty, but can bloom for a long time, often several months. It's great for mid to late-season color, especially if you like sprays of blue or lavender. I highly recommend this plant for butterfly gardens, wildlife gardens, sunny moist meadows, part shade woodland gardens, and border areas near pathways. It can spread aggressively, but that's also why I love it. Do you love blue mistflower?
