I've heard "old" CGP play this a multitude of times and always am mesmerized by how much music can be generated by six strings! There's a reason Chet Atkins gave him a certificate as one of the world's best and this best illustrates just how excellent a musician and showman he is. Happy 2024 Mr. CGP, hopefully I'll see you this year on another "endless road" appearances.

An old buddy who taught me to play boogie on a Stella guitar back in 1965 , just bought a brand new Maton EBG808TEC guitar that has CGP on the fretboard. I'm pretty sure that means he is now a Certified Guitar Player. I told him that I am also CGP but in my case, it means Certifiable Guitar Picker. I offered to come over with sandpaper to help scuff that guitar top up. I haven't heard back.

This has to be a really old video. He's an old man now. I recall listening to him and his now deceased brother in dives around the Qld Gold Coast. He's never made real money from his music. Johnny Farnham once advised him to include some "singin" ,if he wanted to do better. I know he has some ardent fans, but I wouldn't pay to go see him.
