Blue Moon - Tommy Emmanuel arrangement

Nobody can play this like Tommy can! But it is pretty much note for note of his Budapest performance. I had the pleasure of playing this for him when he came to town recently. He was gracious and patient. It's certainly not as fast, clean, smooth, or in the groove, as he does it, but he said was note for note (how kind of him!) except for one chord which I corrected. My thanks to Matthias for writing out a riff I needed and to Jens & Dennis for slowing it down so I could hear certain parts. And most of all thanks to Tommy, whose spirit, passion for music and happiness he has brought to me with his music, has changed my life forever! Anyone who has seen him live in concert, knows what I mean!!! Thanks, Tommy, for the inspiration and encouragement!

Marty, I thought I answered this, but it never registered. Thank you so much! I'm mostly self taught. My brother started me with folk picking when I was 15. I figured out the arrangement from Tommy's Up Close video. For some parts I watch the Budapest performance hundreds of times and used the pause a lot!! A friend figured out one riff for me. I played it for Tommy twice. Both times he gave me help and I corrected it. He's just WONderful!! Thanks again! Cheers, Bunny

Hey Bunny I just saw Tommy for the second time a last week. Unfortunately he couldn't come out after the show to sign autographs he was exhausted!! He puts so much energy in each of his shows!! The video I have of my playing for him came out so dark, you can only hear us and not see us. I haven't had the chance to play with him yet. Only FOR him.
