This is a really nice video capturing their beauty. I really like the one sitting with its wings open and the flowing water in the background- just wow. Seriously, these are some pretty butterflies. :) Great close-ups. I'm looking forward to my local botanical garden hosting their butterfly room this year.

In real life the purple glows neon when the light hits it right. Like a blacklight. Its euphoric. Just like watching blue bees n blue bumblebees.

You would never guess from the outside of his wings (not that they aren't beautiful) what splendor lies inside as he unfolds his wings and shows that brilliant blue color. How on earth did you capture this footage in BC??? Joan

Yes, it is such different patterns on either side - you'd never guess from seeing the one side what was on the other! As lame as it may seem, these were filmed at a butterfly garden. : )
