@@iMeatbag Speed indicator went from 17mph to 0 at the same moment when dust cloud started to form up, parachutes remained fully inflated till that moment, and few secs later you can hear loud sound , which sounds more like crash than thrusters engaging. Looks more like no thruststers got engaged at all and it just crushed. So more likely that your eyes see what they see.

@@AG-ig8uf Yes, using your limited knowledge of the situation and complete lack of extra research to base your entire argument on. Good for you! You win Internet points! FYI, I've actually looked into it. It is much slower than the data on your screen suggests. Second FYI, the data on your screen has latency and is not accurate. It is a rough estimate to give you something to look at. This is why they needed to wait for accurate altitude data rather than just rolling through the video stream frame by frame to see what the highest number was. Sorry you're more willing to fight some stupid argument you legitimately know NOTHING about instead of spending 5 minutes to Google the correct answer. Last FYI, you're not very smart and should probably stick to 5 minute crafts videos.

in due fairness the capsule used its retro landing rockets in the last second to reduce the impact shock. Many here are assuming that the dust around the capsule was caused by a hard landing. Considering all the vast majority of us will ever experience of any of these rockets--Space X, Blue Origin, NASA, etc.--is the show, I like Space X shows better, at least they budgeted for a few on board cameras. This is a Bezos vanity project, it's a roller coaster for the rich. I expect the reason we don't see interior views is because he doesn't want to spoil the ride for his paying customers--AKA not you and I. Ultimately this is just a commercial for his amusement park.
