This kind of stuff bothered me throughout my childhood. Programs always felt like someone's intention - understandable, but sometimes a little on the nose or outright weird. And some books and shows felt like... idk adults trying to appeal to kids. In hindsight, wannabe appeal made me despise stuff I could have loved otherwise.

Condemnation of the individual rather than act itself is very unhelpful and this attitude has contributed to the hate fest of antisocial media today. The act was wrong, he did the right thing by admitting it was wrong and he was fired. There should have been a clear statement, however, about all the good things he did, how they appreciated his work and friendship and that they wish him the best for the future.
