Last week I drafted a deck with two catapults, a curiosity, a Johann, and a Fiery Emancipation. I never drafted before Eldraine came out so at first I thought I just had a pile of cards, but once I put the pieces together, I had so much fun I had to go to youtube to feel it again. It turns out another guy at my table had a very similar deck to mine with another two catapults. If only one of us had gotten the whole deck assembled, that would've been crazy

Really strange, I drafted a very similar Izzet deck with Catapults, Familiar, Hearth Elemental, lots of red removal the other day, got colorscrewed in three out of five games. Only won two in total, as my opponents managed to curve out just a little too nicely. I was very sad, it had seemed like such a good deck on paper... :(

You totally could've built the UW tap deck. You opened 2 of the 3drop enchantments that tap and add a counter, the 3 drop vigilance tapped that grows, bitter chill, and of course the icy manipulator.

UW tap deck pretty much requires 3-5 uncommon/rares to be powerful enough to beat the current meta. He would have had to decide P1P2 to play this deck and force UW picks, HOPING to get 2-4 more good synergy cards. And if he doesn't, his deck is just bad. If he pivots in the draft, the P1P2 becomes useless. Instead, he took Prankster, which works in almost any U deck, thus keeping open.
