@@Ike92240 I’m a bit worried for obsidian though I’m sure I’ll be proven wrong... 2 years of waiting can build some high expectations. Unrealistic ones even. I just hope that doesn’t impact anyone’s view of the album, myself included.

@@trevordillon1921 Oh I don't think anything could live up to expectations like that. I think it's best to just view it as a an album that fits into this overall trilogy well. It's a lot of songs that I just needed to get out, since a lot of it was written during the time I was my mother's caretaker while she was battling cancer, and in the aftermath of her passing and all the madness that comes when dealing with end-of-life stuff. I know not everyone will dig every track musically, but I'm just making the stuff I dig, and getting out the stuff I need to get out. I hope you find some tracks on there that you enjoy, or that can be helpful for you!

What does Copper sound like? Where as Quartz was like a journey through a gritty cyberpunk cityscape, Copper is more like a deep-dive into a dream sequence - full of echoes, emotions, and memories; at once haunting and personal. Very much looking forward to Obsidian to see how this fantastic trilogy concludes.

There is something about this album. I don't listen to it often. When it released I didn't really feel it. I wasn't by any means disapointed nor did I consider it bad. But it never had a grip on me Quartz, and later Obsidian did. But somehow I'm finding myself returning to it all the time. It never fails to calm me down and make me focus on what I'm doing. It is so calm, so different to usual Stahli stuff, yet you can feel that it's his stuff.
@jessicadragonrider38383 жыл бұрын
I think Copper is my favorite album out of this trilogy. It sounds a bit like an exploration of sounds, and one of the softer albums I've heard Blue Stahli do. Variety is nice.
@TheDistressedSetlist4 жыл бұрын
Okay, I'll admit... I didn't like the teasers and was expecting to only like 2 or 3 songs. It wasn't that I thought they were bad, just not my style of music But this is a damn good album! I absolutely love this. Been spinning this for about 3 hours now. Don't plan to stop.

Variety is key, always getting stucked in one place it's not the way to go.
@bluestahli4 жыл бұрын
I knew it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, but I'm glad that people are giving it a chance. Really just all out making whatever music I like with these albums and beyond. This is the type of stuff I would drive around listening to and is something I've always wanted to do, especially since I see all of what I do as "electronic music" even when using guitars (to me, I'm just making distorted samples to use, and playing with elements of genres when guitars are in play). Thanks for giving this one a shot, and I'm glad it grew on you!
@bluestahli4 жыл бұрын
@@al112v4 I agree. If I had to just make rock music, I wouldn't want to do it at all. Usually working on one element of a genre gets me excited to then do the opposite. While finishing Quartz, I was excited to not use any guitars. While working on Copper, I couldn't wait to start throwing guitars into electronic tracks, etc.
