Just because you've only heard Cher's version doesn't mean she was the only one who sang it.

I'm sure you thought they "murdered" B.J. Thomas, too. But the reality is they became the first Swedish artist to make #1 in the United States. A very different take on the love ballad "Never My Love" brought them a second US top 10. So, yeah, a lotta people liked Blue Swedes ambitious cover versions and dynamic lead vocals. If you don't like it, go somewhere where it doesn't say Blue Swede. This version is quite good and fitting for their upbeat, horn-dominated sound.
