Blue to Pastel Pink & Purple Hair using XMONDO Color

► I was sent Brad Mondo's new hair dye line, XMONDO Color, and I used Super Pink over my faded Arctic Fox Aquamarine hair to create a mixture of purple, lavender and pink! My blue hair had faded a lot but I didn't want to use bleach to get it back to blonde before trying a new color, so I'm really happy this worked!

After I ordered the XMondo hair color, I decided I didn’t want to re-bleach my hair. I received it in the mail today and started hunting for a review of someone in a similar hair situation. I've learned my hair fades unevenly because of how the water hits it in the shower. That middle section fades fastest and the parts hidden like the back hold the color longest. :)

@@JessTester Also don't discount uv rays from a light source that is on one side more...truck drivers frequently have a tanned left arm cause that side is exposed in the vehicle while the right is not. Maybe your desk has sunlight hitting you on one side all day.

@@JessTester it’s because red cancels out green. Orange also cancels out blue. The pink has primarily red/orange undertones and the blue has green undertones.

I had blue hair as well last year and started to let it fade, it was soo stubborn (as the blue colour is). Then i took a pink dye and died it on top of the blue. The red pigments in the pink colour "take out" the blueish greenish. (Check a colourwheel and you'll understand) 🙈 My hair turned out silver/pink ish and was so beautiful 😍 i think you did Great and this colour suits you perfectly! Georgeous 😍

The uneven fade could have to do with where the water hits your head when you wash your hair! Mine fades similar to yours. The middle just dissappears lol

I just did my hair it was already red so i did the back with a brighter red and wanted the front blue so i bleached it so it turned out pink i put the dark blue in and it looks so cool i have blue , lavender some purple light blue and some pink i love it though

Yes I did aqua and it did not fade nice. I did 2 vit c treatments and it hardly worked. Then I did color remover and it still left me with a super faded mint. I’m so hesitant to ever do blue/blue greens ever again haha although I love the look and color so it’s a love hate haha

Baking soda Purple shampoo Dawn dish or tbh any dish soap Because I had no developer I used the spray version of sun in or whatever it’s called cause not only does it have hydrogen proxide which I’ve used as an alternative to delevoper before but it also has aloe, and other somewhat health ingredients Surprised it worked tbh. As I can get ALL of this by walking to cvs instead of driving all the way too a 20 minute cvs or a sally store And it’s better than color oops now I don’t smell like rotten egg chemicals

Its this weird blue and green streeks with brown streeks. And i really should have done my reasurech bc i went from Red to trying to go blue for the hole year of 2020 and im like.... ahhh get out! Yeah, blue is tough! But you can always do a bleach bath. That's what I ended up doing after this faded and I still had some blue and green underneath

Luckily, from my experience, the xmondo colors tend to wash out pretty quickly so it should turn pastel pretty fast. I hope that was the case for you!

You put your hair in a hair tie when wet, thats why there is a lighter strip.

I'm not sure when you think I did that but I never put my hair in a hair tie. Not for the bleaching, the blue dye or the super pink dye. My blonde was completely even and my blue hair was completely even but with time it just faded lighter in the middle

It didnt turn purple because as children learn in kindergarten, reds are the color opposite of green. Each color cancels the other out. Sorry, I assumed this was extremely basic knowledge at this point.
