You are right the blue one is older. I'm a vintage fan collector myself in fact I have 102 fans from 1924 to 2005. I have more metal fans than anything but if you have anymore plastic ones from the 70's to early 90's you want to get rid of or you know of any for sale let me know, I could use more older plastic fans, I do have a 1980's Panasonic that size made by Matsushida corp. of Japan which is rather unique and still runs and look perfect.

Besides these date back to the time when Galaxy and Lasko fans were still made good and could push air.

Ok. 12" Galaxies are more common though. A lot are being replaced with newer junk though.

Any idea of the power (in Watts) of these babies? I would like to know for comparing with the new crappy ones. At least here in my country they have 60~90W engines.

I'm partial to the brown one, just because I have the 12" version and the color goes with my house (ranch type.) I think the brown fan is quieter due to the blade design. Good comparo BTW.

I don't know what your talking about, 16'' desk fans are popular. I see them ofter around here. Almost as popular as the 12'' ones. They are both nice fans. I prefer the blue color but I prefer the shape of the brown one.

I have one actually, in my videos it's one of the "Galaxy Desk Fan" vidz... Perhaps I should give my fan videos better titles :P

They're both cool, but I don't think that they're that rare around here. I've seen 3 this past year.

Well it's rare in Hawaii, I haven't seen one since 1992.

Not in Hawaii. I've never seen that fan since 1992.
