I was so nervous on this one because I was really taking a risk with the pattern. I see lots of interior designers mixing patterns and making look nice, but I have failed at my past attempts and I never made the video of my fails. I am glad to have gotten it right this time!

I think its great to have a niche decor style. The McKenzie Childs is a great concept for your channel. The checkerboard pattern is surprisingly versatile and can be mixed with other patterns. Through trial and error you will find so many combinations. I am glad that I can inspire you in some way.

I love the way my table came together and I am so relieved that it was well received. Mixing patterns can go very well, but it can also be a big flop! As for shopping, I shop online at stores like eBay for pre-loved items because thats where the real variety is. Too often I shop at HomeGoods thinking I found something unique only to see 2 or 3 KZbinrs with the same item. But the discontinued china patterns, napkin and placemats are often available on second had sites. Especially the high-end brands and they are much more affordable used.
