Thanks. Nice review… one observation… with the Rode and the Samsung, the tone was getting the benefit of the proximity effect as they were boom mounted. The Yeti LOOKED to be 12-16” from your mouth. I have several Rodes as well as the Yeti X all the condensers benefit from being about 6” from your mouth… they get a big fall off In Tone and volume as you get farther away unless you really crank the gain,,, but then you sound floor issues. I believe that I can use it for all above. It is a very nice quality Mic that has nice software.

Purchased the Blue Yeti X for Movie Reviewer needs. Before the X I was using a Snowball. I'll be doing mostly voice-over reviewing. The Cardioid Mode is probably my best option? Thanks for your review.

Your voice sounds great on all microphones. I just purchased the Sure MV7X with the Focusrite Scarlett Solo (3rd Gen) and I can't get it to match the quality of the Blue Yeti X which is a bit of a shock. I do have my Blue Yeti X dialed in super well with the G Hub, but I assumed that getting a proper dynamic XLR mic would sound a lot better. If you speak a little bit closer to the Blue Yeti it does a really good job of cancelling noise and the quality is a lot better. Just like the way you where using your Rode mic. Do I need to buy a mixer for the Sure mic to make it sound good?

I would try getting the wind screen that goes on the SM7B and put it on the SM7X. I purchased it off Amazon and it seemed to make a little bit of a difference and under $20.
