Have you ever read War and Remembrance by Herman Wouk? It's a long, but excellent multi pov novel about WWII. I noticed you've been reading books about that era, so I thought you might enjoy it. It's centered around a military family, but has a very diverse group of characters. As an example, one of the sons is a submariner who married a Jewish woman. She and her famous author uncle are stuck in Italy. There is a real web of characters. It took Mr. Wouk over a decade to do all the research, and it is meticulously footnoted in the back. The book was published in the 70's, so it's not new. But I think it's definitely required reading for anyone who's interested in that era, not just the war itself but how the various groups were affected.

There.wS a girl group called Bluebirds..i was part of it in the seventies..it rivaled the campfire girls..i wonder if they stil have it..i dont think so
